Since 1990, Stanford Designs has helped homeowners and businesses improve the spaces where they live and work. Led by Gerard Stanford, the company brings hands-on construction experience, a personal approach, and care for the details to residential, commercial, and retail projects.

A lifetime in the work

Gerard began working in construction while he was still in high school. What started early became a lifelong career, with experience across homes, commercial properties, and retail spaces. That background shapes how he approaches a project: understand what the space needs to do, work through the practical details, and give the finish the attention it deserves.

From a kitchen or bathroom renovation to custom carpentry and improvements for a business, Gerard brings the perspective of someone who has spent his working life in the trade. He understands that a successful project depends on the work behind the finished surface as much as the details you see every day.

Staten Island is home to Gerard, and always has been. As a lifelong Staten Islander, he brings a personal connection to the community and an appreciation for the homes, neighborhoods, and local businesses that make it distinctive.

Residential, commercial & retail

Our residential work includes kitchens, bathrooms, custom cabinetry, interior renovations, decks, and outdoor living spaces. For businesses, our work includes commercial interiors, storefront improvements, roofing, and stucco.
